With the growth of the firm, its dependence on paper-based operations and the spreadsheet-based workflows started to inhibit the efficiency. The distribution of the case files was spread over several systems, communication was fragmented and appointment making had to be coordinated manually at all times. Clients frequently relied on telephone conversations or e-mail messaging to be updated, which decreased transparency and administrative burden.
